20 Bold Predictions for 2019


With a fantastic 2018 now behind us, it’s time to get settled in for 2019. And what better way to do that than with the now traditional bold predictions. Here are last year’s predictions, if you missed them; they went surprisingly well. Will it be the same this year? Here are my predictions, let us know what you think.  

1. There will be 3 UFC events on BT Sports pay-per-view.

2. TJ Dillashaw will knock out Henry Cejudo.

3. Jon Jones knocks out Daniel Cormier at heavyweight.

4. Conor McGregor fights twice.

5. Ryan Bader wins and then loses the Bellator heavyweight title.

6. Ben Askren loses his first two UFC fights.

7. Demetrious Johnson becomes a two-weight ONE champion.

8. Anthony Pettis signs for Bellator.

9. Amanda Nunes defends both of her titles.

10. A UFC pay-per-view does less than 100k buys.

11. A UFC champion is stripped due to a drug test failure.

12. Bellator don’t get a UK TV deal.

13. Zabit Magomedsharipov will win the UFC featherweight title.

14. Max Holloway will beat Khabib Nurmagomedov.

15. The UFC create a light-welterweight divison.

16. Georges St-Pierre fights Nate Diaz.

17. Rose Namajunas, Valentina Shevchenko and Tyron Woodley will all go unbeaten.

18. Robert Whittaker will lose his title.

19. Zuffa promotes a boxing event.

20. Brock Lesnar does not have a UFC fight.
