Well, Here’s the Good News

We’re in the midst of a pandemic but there are still some good things happening in the world of Mixed Martial Arts. Here are some feel good stories that have happened over the last week.

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya generously donated 10,000 three-ply face masks and 1,000 eye protection face shields in Whanganui, New Zealand.

Ariel Helwani has got together with Lebo Art to create signature t-shirts with all proceeds going to Feeding America.  Feeding America is a hunger relief organization with a nationwide network of food banks feeding the hungry in the US.

It seem that kindness and generosity runs in the Helwani household. Ariel’s dad has branched out to create some much needed medical equipment to combat the outbreak of COVID-19 in Montreal.

If fighting doesn’t work out for UFC middleweight Darren Stewart he might want to take up some acting. Here he is giving his best soap opera impression. Not necessarily good news but it was something that gave me a good chuckle.
