Neil Seery reveals he has withdrawn from UFC 208 bout with Ian McCall

Irishman Neil Seery announced on his Facebook page minutes ago that he has withdrawn from his scheduled bout with Ian McCall at UFC 208 in Brooklyn, New York on 11th February 2017.

Seery revealed that his mother in law passed away today. He apologised to fans who had bought tickets but said “family comes first”.

Here is Seery’s full Facebook post:

“I pulled out of my fight in 2 weeks due to losing my mother in law today sorry to everyone who bought tickets but family comes first”

The McCall bout was set to be Seery’s final fight before retirement and was originally scheduled for UFC Belfast last November but McCall became ill the day before the bout and withdrew.

It is unclear at this time whether the UFC will reschedule the bout again for another date or find a new opponent for McCall at UFC 208.
