Alan Philpott replaces Mark Platts against Kris Edwards at Cage Warriors 49

Cage Warriors have today announced that Mark Platts has been forced to withdraw from Cage Warriors 49 in Cardiff, Wales this weekend due to injury

Platts was due to take on home town favourite Kris Edwards but has now been replaced by Alan “The Apprentice” Philpott, who is coming off a devastating head kick followed by triangle victory in the opening minute of his bout at Cage Contender XV in Belfast last weekend over Ricky Edgeworth.

Cage Warriors announced the news earlier this afternoon on Facebook and CageWarriors.com

“Alan Philpott will fight Kris Edwards at Cage Warriors 49 on Saturday after Mark Platts withdrew due to injury.”
