Chris “The Killing” Fields has agreed to step on short notice to face John Phillips for the injured Faycal Hucin at Cage Warriors 48 on the 21st July in London.

This match up was originally scheduled to take place back in April but Chris was forced to withdraw from the Cage Warriors Middleweight tournament semi-final due to a back injury.

“I’m a better fighter than him, I’m more well rounded and I’m gonna show that next week”

Since there originally scheduled bout, John Phillips has gone 1-1 in Cage Warriors, losing in the Middleweight tournament semi-final to Pavel Kusch via heel hook after just 25 seconds of the first round.

“I think I can beat him at his best range. The injury happened i’m not gonna moan because it’s just something that happens”

With the injury healed, Chris is ready to go in and finished the business he started back in April with Phillips.

“It doesn’t matter that it’s on short notice, I am always ready to fight, its my job im a fighter that’s what I do.”

“I’m gonna win and win well, I want this and I want my belt”
